We provide eye exams to children of all ages. Eye exams are recommended for all children at the age of 6 months, 18 months and 3 years of age. Annual exams are recommended thereafter to screen for and treat vision or ocular health problems should they arise. Children who cannot see the board at school or focus on words or pictures in books may not achieve their full learning potential. Children, from birth to 19 years of age, are covered by OHIP for a complete eye examination every year and more frequently when indicated.
